Milltown Karate Club hosts round 3 of the Savate league.

Well done to all the players from Milltown Karate Club who took part in round 3 of the Irish Savate (French Kickboxing) league hosted in Milltown Community Centre this weekend.  Matches were 3 rounds of 45 seconds to 90 seconds depending on age.  A great display was put on with all players showing significant improvement. For many of the Milltown group it was their first time participating and the performed exceptionally.

Community Games 2019

The 2019 Community Games season has kicked off. There is something for all children to take part in, whether they are 6 or 16, or interested in sports, culture or arts. Our local Community Games began with the Art competition.
Over the last two weeks, the students in the local National Schools have been busy drawing and painting pictures that illustrate Community Game’s activities. We got an amazing 120 entries. There is great talent in the area and the judges had some very difficult decisions to make.
We are happy to give you a taste of the winning entries here, but please come down to the Community Games Sports Day where all the artwork will be on display. The 1st place winners are competing in the County Finals in Mountbellew next week.
The Community Games Sports Day is on Sunday 28th April. All welcome! Registration is at 9:30. We will need some volunteers to help on the day, please let us know if you are available.
