Galway County Public Participation Network

Galway County Public Participation Network (PPN) continues to be the main link through which Community & Voluntary organisations, Environment organisations & Social Inclusion organisations in Galway interact with Galway county council and participate in policy-making committees of the Council.  Community groups who register will receive all manners of info relating to community activity such as information on funding, training, local events etc.  The PPN promotes citizen engagement and strengthens linkages between communities and Galway County Council.  One way of doing this is by hosting PPN Plenaries (open meetings) in each Municipal District.  As well as the funding workshops, the PPN have organised other information sessions for community groups.  These include information on:

  • The New Charities Act, how does it affect your group?
  • The Data Protection Regulation, what your group needs to do.

These meetings take place in the following venues:

Monday, February 26th  –  Lackagh Parish Hall, Lackagh, Turloughmore @ 7.30pm

Wednesday, February 28th – Tuam Enterprise Centre, Weir Road, Tuam @ 7.30pm

Wednesday, March 21st – An Crompán, Ionad Comharchumann Mhic Dara, Eastát Tionsclaíoch na Ceathrún Rua, Co. na Gaillimhe @ 7.30pm
