Catholic Grandparents Association: Grandparents, Parents and Grandchildren are cordially invited to Our ‘Grandparent’s Thanksgiving Mass’ in Tuam Cathedral on Thursday 26th July @ 10.00 a.m. This is the Feast Day of St. Joachim and St. Anne, parents of Mary, Grandparents of Jesus. This is the Tuam diocesan celebratory mass to acknowledge the contribution that Grandparents have played in passing on our faith to their children and grandchildren. Light refreshments will be served afterwards in the parish centre. All welcome to attend.

Great Irish Dancing Schools Challenge
At Claremorris Town Hall Theatre presents the Great Irish Dancing Schools Challenge of Mayo v Galway this Monday 2nd of July. Doors 7pm and Show 8pm. The Turley Duggan School of Irish Dancing (Mayo) will be taking on Galway Rivals, the Hession School of Irish Dancing. Over 40 dancers will perform. Marc Roberts is the MC for the night and will also provide the music. Judges are Sport Stars: Anthony Finnerty, Niamh Kilkenny, Alan Dillon and Niamh Kelly. Proceeds will be divided between both schools of dancing and then each school will divide the funds between the families whose child qualifies for the Worlds. The “Worlds” takes place in North Carolina next year. Proceeds from the Raffle will go to Spinal Injuries Ireland.
