Thought of the Day: EXAM TIME “We should not ask our kids what they want to be when they grow up but what problems do they want to solve. This changes the conversation from who do they want to work for, to what do they need to learn to be able to do that.”

Prayer for Success in Examinations

O great St Joseph of Cupertino, who while on earth, did obtain

from God, the Grace to be asked at your examination, only the

questions you knew, Obtain for me a like favour, in the

examination for which I am preparing. In return, I promise to

make you known and cause you to be invoked.

Through Christ Our Lord. Amen.

St. Joseph of Cupertino, Pray for Us.

Tidy Towns update!

Tidy Towns: Judging in the 2017 Tidy Towns commences on  June 1st next. Your village is just 5 marks behind Keadue, Co. Roscommon and 7 marks behind Westport – both former All-Ireland winners. Can you help by painting a shop front, house, a rusty gate or even a side-wall to your lawn!

Milltown Tidy Towns were just one mark from “Gold Medal Status” last year. A little more tidiness and colour would have secured Gold – can you contribute this year? Paint a wall or chimney, power wash a roadside footpath, plant a garden flowerbed or window box…

Milltown Tidy Towns are encouraging people to volunteer just one hour per week to the Tidy Towns. You don’t have to live in the village or even the approach roads to be involved. Free gloves will be provided. Adopt a flower-bed, remove litter or kerb weeds daily. Phone community centre on 093-51876

Milltown Tidy Towns are organising a spring clean in the MILLTOWN / BALLYGLASS PARISH. We need one or two volunteers for each village. Free gloves & black bags are available in the Milltown Community Centre. Contact Padraig Coyne 087-2261578 or Tina 087-9715301.

Thank you to all who are taking part in their village clean-up, it is great to see so many getting involved. Let us all keep it going. Anyone wishing to get involved contact Padraig or Tina on the above numbers.
