Appreciation night

Jim Carney

A fantastic appreciation night was had last night to honour two of Milltown’s GAA’s all time greats, John Blake & Miko Feerick!! It was great to see so many other Milltown legends from different era’s in attendance last night, along with current players from all grades who are the future of Milltown GAA. There were others mentioned too that could not be there. It was wonderful to see friends from neighbouring GAA and Rugby clubs present too.

It was a great celebration of the Milltown GAA community through the years.

A special word of thanks to Jim Carney for the massive work he put in organising the night and to all who spoke on the night also.

Message to Milltown GAA people everywhere!!

Saturday 19th August. Milltown GAA Club Appreciation Night to honour two club legends, John Blake and Miko Feerick, will be held in Sheridan’s from 8.30 ‘til late!! Don’t miss it.

Reelin’ in the Years in Milltown on Saturday night!

TWO long-serving stalwarts of Milltown GAA will be honoured at an Appreciation Night hosted by their club this Saturday, Aug 19th: Miko Feerick and John Blake. Sheridan’s Bar & Restaurant will be the venue for this eagerly awaited social event. All are invited; it’ll be an ‘open house’ from 8.30 ’til late. To mark the occasion, there will be a special photographic exhibition on display, reflecting the very important contributions made by John Blake and Miko Feerick to Milltown GAA history since the club regained senior status in 1961; and they have not lost their place in the premier grade in the intervening 56 years. “Blue & White Forever!”
